Film producer Leslie Hills joins Edinburgh World Heritage to talk through her first book - a very personal journey to discover the history and former occupants of her house.

10 Scotland Street: the story of an Edinburgh home and its cast of booksellers, silk merchants, sailors, preachers, politicians, cholera and coincidence and its widespread connections over two centuries across the globe to the Caribbean, Irkutsk, Calcutta, Sydney...

Both Sara Sheridan and Val McDermid have showered praise on this book. At this event, Leslie will give some insight into the research highlights and pitfalls that she encountered along the way.

An EWH Friend, Leslie Hills is a film producer at Skyline Productions. She has written extensively on education and the arts and has published short stories, but this is her first book. It will be available to buy on the evening, and Leslie will be happy to sign copies.

This event will also be recorded, and the recording later distributed to ticket holders. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Edinburgh World Heritage via email at events@ewht.org.uk
