Join us for an evening of challenging, lively debate, focusing on those issues which were central to Cunninghame Graham’s personal and political legacy, and which remain as relevant today as ever.

Scotland Street Press and Glasgow University Dialectic Society host the second annual Cunninghame Graham Debates.

Join us at 7pm on Wednesday 13th November at the Debates Chamber, Glasgow University Union, for another evening of challenging, lively debate, focusing on those issues which were central to Cunninghame Graham’s personal and political legacy, and which remain as relevant today as ever.

The Motions:

This house believes that animals' rights should be enshrined in law.

This house believes that the House of Lords should be abolished and replaced by an elected second chamber.

This house believes that Scotland should be an independent country.

Please note: This event is completely free to attend. Tickets can be reserved via eventbrite. Each debate will last just under 30 minutes. Drinks will be available to purchase from the on-site bar.
